During the International Congress of Peritoneal Surgery (PSOGI 2025), held in Barcelona, a session was dedicated to optimizing patients before cytoreductive surgery with or without HIPEC. The session was moderated by Dr. Delia Cortés Guiral, Director of IVOQA, together with Dr. Faheez Mohamed.

The session addressed three key pillars in the comprehensive management of oncology patients:
- ERAS guidelines: Their application in oncologic peritoneal surgery was analyzed as a tool to improve postoperative outcomes, reduce complications, and accelerate functional recovery.
- Technology and accessibility: Discussion focused on how new technologies can facilitate access to adapted physical exercise programs, especially for patients with limited mobility.
- Physical exercise and metabolism: Oncology training specialist Omar Tayara presented the physical exercise app developed by IVOQA, highlighting its metabolic impact on cancer patients and its integration with wearables for real-time monitoring.
The session brought together international experts and fostered a multidisciplinary debate on how combining prehabilitation, nutrition, exercise, and technology can transform perioperative care in oncology.
IVOQA’s app represents a step forward in the personalization of cancer care, enabling safe, evidence-based remote monitoring.
