What is the Institute of
Advanced Surgical Oncology

The Viamed Institute of Advanced Surgical Oncology was created to respond to the needs, within the private health sector, of all cancer patients seeking first-rate care.

With its central base in the Hospital Santa Elena in Madrid, it provides assistance to all cancer patients from Viamed’s 14 hospitals located around Spain, as well as international patients.

Since cancer treatment ultimately requires a multidisciplinary approach, IVOQA is made up of a team of renowned surgical oncologists who work in close collaboration with physicians from different specialist fields (medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, digestive specialists, intensivists, anaesthesiologists, endocrinologists, haematologists, psycho-oncologists, radiologists, gynaecologists, dermatologists, dentists…), rehabilitation experts, and nurses who specialise in the treatment of cancer patients.
