    Transvaginal ultrasound is the main imaging technique used for the initial assessment of ovarian masses. Depending on the findings, other investigations may be required, such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or PET-CT, to determine the extent of the disease.<\/p>\n

    Tumour markers such as CA-125 can provide additional information, although they must always be interpreted alongside the clinical examination and imaging tests, as they are not specific to ovarian cancer.<\/p>\n
